Early Morning Journaling

9:00am Early Morning Journaling sessions are for All Ages

Materials needed:
  • a journal or paper
  • favorite pencils, pens, markers, etc.
  • anything that makes you feel comfortable enough to express your feeling through drawing and writing.
We are living through an interesting time. If you feel like it, use or make a journal just for this experience.

What is Early Morning Journaling all about?

Writing Prompts
We start each journaling session and journal page with the date and a few lines about how we are feeling, then we continue with a theme to focus our writing. These make great writing prompts!

Feeling Feelings and Setting Intentions
Finding Peace Everyday
Connecting with Nature
What would life be like if COVID-19 had not happened?
Dreaming About Becoming an Author
Reflecting on Animals You Adore
Favorite Holidays
How do we celebrate holidays and special occasions in new ways during isolation?
The Women in Your Life
What is Your Theme Song?
Reflections on Our Planet
What does Love mean to you?
Things That Bring Me Joy
Love in Action
Relationships
Conversations with Communities
How would you be spending your summer if Covid didn't exist?
Why do you like OMO?
Luke, age 10: "The part I like most about Oakland Mills Online is that you can see people from your community. Perhaps you can see people not in your community doing the classes. I like that it gives us kids some entertainment. The class I like most is Early Morning Journaling at 8am."

Rebecca Beall: "I love the demonstration of the absolute truth that the individual is important to the community, and that the community is important to the individual. I love the multigenerational aspect as well."
