The OMO Team

Schools closed for the pandemic on March 13, 2020. Oakland Mills Online started on Monday morning, March 16, born out Amy Brooks's ideas to keep people connected during quarantine. Based off her OMHS Scorpion Speaker Series, Amy brought in fascinating neighbors to lead eight sessions a day while Jessica Mahajan handled the website and Facebook. Some of our first session volunteers soon became invaluable to making OMO work--Rachel Berman, Jessie Patterson, and Hannah Vogel--and have shaped OMO as a community-focused support organization. Our Board (Rashida George, Jen Hayashi, Corinne Heiliger, Vincent James, Rick McCray, and Randee Wilding) guides us as we flex with the needs of the community. ​Many thanks to previous Board Members and Advisors Faye McCray, Leslie Salgado, Jonathan Edelson, Charmaine Flanagan, and Stephanie Wall.
