WOMEN'S RENEWAL RETREAT
-Weekend Getaway-

We're excited to have you join us in May!

Thank you for registering! Check back--we will use this page to post workshop info, suggested reading/watching materials, and tips to make the most of the weekend away.

At OMO retreats, you have permission to be yourself and to be caring of yourself.
This all-inclusive weekend is for women who prioritize restorative self-care. It's also for those who value both togetherness and quiet. You will have an opportunity to connect with others as much as or as little as you prefer. No cooking. No cleaning. We give you time to sleep, to eat yummy and healthy food, to socialize, to not socialize,...

Workshops will be offered throughout the weekend. You have permission to participate in all or none.
Topics covered over the weekend will include:

Renewing ourselves:
  • Self-care is healthcare.
You'll have the opportunity to treat yourself as you need to be treated, with space to explore art therapy, learn self-care tips, or take time to just be still and do nothing.
Reconnecting with community:
  • Women thrive in spaces where they feel seen, heard, and understood.
Whether you are a new or repeat retreat attendee, our goal is for you to find others that help you process feelings and realize your needs, goals, and wants (from the simple to the life-changing)
Rebuilding our lives:
  • Feelings of grief and loss abound as we process the pandemic and the changes our lives have been through since 2020. How do we process the different kinds of loss we have dealt with as general parts of our lives and as a part of this current time in history (including the loss of loved ones and the disconnections we've felt in our personal, professional, and community lives)?
Workshop options will be posted soon.

Location: Bon Secours Retreat Center- 1525 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, MD 21104
We chose Bon Secours because of its COVID safety over the pandemic, integration in nature, recently renovated facilities, affordability, and convenience for us in Howard County. Please note that Bon Secours was founded by a Catholic sisterhood so Christian elements will be on display. Crosses can be removed from rooms by guests as desired. Bon Secours follows the same tenet as OMO: ALL ARE WELCOME; they host non-religious groups like ours as well as groups from other religions.
Note: Bon Secours is an independent organization that does not give to or receive money from the Catholic Church.

Dining:
The professional food and beverage staff will help us refuel with a delicious selection of choices, prepared fresh each day in the Bon Secours kitchen.
  • Light refreshments are available throughout the day in hospitality lounges located on each floor of the Center (coffee, tea, water and a bowl of fresh fruit)
  • Dietary Allergies/Restrictions:
    • OMO provides Bon Secours a list of those attendees reporting allergies/restrictions
    • In order to guarantee a positive dining experience, those guests who have special dietary requests or needs (allergies, restrictions, etc.) are asked to speak to a supervisor in the Food and Beverage Department upon arrival.
    • Those guests who require a very restricted diet (gluten free, organic, vegan, etc.) are welcome to bring some of their own food items to supplement what the Center provides. Refrigerators and microwaves are available for guest use.
  • Vegetarian options are available upon request at each meal time; speak with a staff member upon entering dining room. If you prefer to eat vegetarian options throughout your stay, please inform the OMO team in advance.
  • Meals are served daily in bright and welcoming communal dining rooms on the lower level
